Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
According to Matthew, Jesus made this great statement during His teaching upon God’s mountain. Matthew compiled this teaching in his first prominent message to Israel that Jesus was the awaited Teacher. A faithful interpretative rendition of this saying is, Blessed and happy are the clean in heart, for they will clearly discern God.
Luke wrote a condensed version of this teaching in his narrative to Theophilus. He did not include the statement about seeing God. Nor did he make mention of a mountain.
Matthew, in giving his word from Christ the Lord, was revealing Him as the true law-giver Who was greater than and the fulfillment of Moses. He was revealing that His word was greater than and superseded the law of Moses. He did not name the mountain, like Moses did in the Torah. Jesus Christ is Alpha and Omega in everything! He is the Rock of God! He is the Law of God! “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.”
The promise to faithful Israel that they would see God was fulfilled with all of the other promises in this teaching. This is the inheritance received today by all believers who are the true and faithful Israel of God! We are all children of Abraham, the believer! God has gathered us all from the four corners of the earth and caused us to recline in full feasting with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in His Kingdom of Heaven!
Seeing God is seeing Jesus Christ as He is, the Life-giving Spirit, and accordingly, walking in the fullness of the love, fruit, gifts, anointing, and might of His Holy Spirit. “He who sees the Son sees the Father.” Seeing God is conducting life in all His immortal, incorruptible, and imperishable Life. Seeing God is worshiping Him aright out of purity of heart and cleanness of life! It is to conduct our lives in all intimacy, beauty, glory and holiness while we feast perpetually upon the Trees of Life and imbibe without ceasing in the River of Life which all flow from the Throne of God and adorn the Great Street of the City Who is Jesus. “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life!” It is giving Him the love, obedience, and high praises of this Day Age that are due to His Holy Name. Seeing God is knowing and understanding that we have this inheritance because He caused His Tabernacle to fully dwell among us when He finished all things and made everything Eternal. Seeing God is understanding that the former feast-festivities of the marriage of His Son, which occurred at the very end of the last days of the Age of the Law, now perpetually abide in the oneness and glory of His Son with us; His spouse, His sons, His priests, His very body, and His house in the Kingdom of God. “We are members of His body.” “We are living stones in His spiritual house.” “We are the Temple of God.” Jesus said to His followers while in Jerusalem, “While you have the Light believe in the Light, so that you may become sons of Light.” Seeing God is knowing in full measure that when God made His Tabernacle dwell among His people in full measure, they (and we by inheritance) perpetually received His Divine, Rich, Zealous, and cherubimic Life. Seeing God is to pray without ceasing in the golden altar of incense which is within the holy of holies. Seeing God is to know, both by revelation and experience, that Heavenly Jerusalem has descended. Seeing God is to know, both by revelation and experience, that the mountain of God fills the whole earth with the full-knowledge of God, as the waters cover the seas.
Is this your experience? Do you fully discern God (see God) this way? The Father has answered the prayers that Jesus taught His disciples to pray. His Name is all hallowed. His Kingdom has come. His will has been done! He continues to give daily physical nourishment to the children of men. He has forgiven the debts of His children. He has delivered us from the evil! These things have been fulfilled. These things are to be prioritized, prayed for the maintenance of, and walked in daily.
Glory to God in the highest! Hallelujah! God is All in all! Amen!
